Port Townsend Riders
On Sunday I rode (through rain all day) with 12 other guys to what is billed as an antique motorcycle show north of Seattle. There were probably 20 vintage or antique bikes on display. Then there were the 8 thousand Harley riders! Actually, I was impressed with everyones riding skills. Considering the rain and the fact that we got lost a couple times, - and there were a lot of us, - there were no accidents, no tickets, no close-calls. All of us were different ages and all represented different kinds of bikes. (sporties, tourers, off-road, including a few Hondas, Triumph, Suzuki, Kawi, BMW, Ducati). Of course, - the only bike that needed servicing was mine (*^&%!) The chain was loose by the time we arrived so it needed tightening and one of my fairing bolts was missing by the end of the day. This means that I won't hear the end of it at Jim's shop (our fearless leader stuffing his face above) where I stop for coffee on the way to work.
